NAF Trainer Aircraft Experiences Minor Incident near Kaduna Military Airfield

A Nigerian Air Force (NAF) Super Mushshak trainer aircraft encountered a minor mishap today, on the 7th of March, 2024, around 2:35 pm.

Air Vice Marshal Edward Gabkwet, Director of Public Relations and Information, who confirmed the incident in a statement said, it took place approximately 3.5 nautical miles from the Kaduna Military airfield involving two pilots who were returning from a routine training flight. Fortunately, both pilots managed to emerge from the crash unharmed.

Following the occurrence, the Chief of the Air Staff Air Marshal Hasan Abubakar, has ordered a preliminary investigation to determine the immediate cause of the accident.

The NAF Gabkwet said, is committed to ensuring the safety and security of its personnel and will continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the mishap to prevent similar incidents in the future.
