NAHCON Delegation Visits Yobe ahead of 2026 Hajj exercise.

A delegation from the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has visited the Yobe State Government to sensitise stakeholders on the new policies and deadlines introduced for the 2026 Hajj by the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah.
The delegation, led by Alhaji Abba Jatau, Commissioner representing the North-East Zone, was received by the Secretary to the State Government Alhaji Baba Malam Wali, mni, in his office in Damaturu.

During the visit, Jatau commended the Yobe State Government and the State Pilgrims Commission for their commitment and level of preparedness ahead of the 2026 Hajj operations. He emphasized the importance of early preparations, compliance with Saudi regulations, and strict adherence to timelines.

He disclosed that the deadline for the payment of the 2026 Hajj fare has been fixed for 21st December 2025, in line with NAHCON’s directive.
In his remarks, the Acting Chairman of the Yobe State Pilgrims Commission, Alhaji Adam Arjo Kayeri, urged intending pilgrims to complete their payments before the deadline to secure their slots.
Kayeri also called on all prospective pilgrims to comply fully with the operational and health guidelines set by the Saudi authorities and NAHCON.
Responding, the SSG, Alhaji Baba Malam Wali expressed appreciation to the Executive Governor of Yobe State, Hon. Dr. Mai Mala Buni CON for his unwavering support to the Pilgrims Commission, which he said has enabled it to operate effectively and efficiently.
