NDE launches RHEI phase 3, targets 26,961 unemployed Yobe youths, women

The National Directorate of Employment (NDE) has opened registration for the third phase of the Renewed Hope Employment Initiative (RHEI) of the Federal Government in Yobe.

The initiative targets 26,961 unemployed residents across the 17 local government areas of the state.

The piece of information is in a statement issued by the NDE Yobe Information Officer, Ibrahim Umar Tijjani on Friday in Damaturu.

He stated that the portal went live since Thursday, July 23.

He quoted the Yobe Coordinator of the directorate, Binta Aliyu, as saying “RHEI Phase 3 is designed to equip unskilled and unemployed Nigerians aged 18 to 35 with practical skills in agriculture, entrepreneurship, ICT, vocational trades and special public works.

“Beneficiaries will be selected from every council ward in the 17 local government areas of Yobe.

“This phase aligns directly with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda on job creation, human capital development and poverty reduction.

“Persons with disabilities are also eligible to apply.”

The coordinator noted that applicants who participated in phases one and two would not be considered this round, to give new candidates an opportunity.

She added that “registration is free and ongoing at http://www.nderegistrationportal.ng.

“For inquiries and support, applicants can visit the NDE Yobe office at the Federal Secretariat, Gashua Road, Damaturu.

“The initiative aims to reduce unemployment, promote self-reliance and expand access to skills training for vulnerable groups, with special emphasis on women and youths.”
