New Yobe SSG promises to strengthen policy coordination
Dr Muhammad Goje, the Acting Secretary to the Yobe State Government (SSG) has promised to strengthen policy coordination in the Gov. Mai Mala Buni-led administration.
Goje made the promise while receiving a handover note from Alhaji Madu , Permanent Secretary, General Administration, Office of the SSG.
The acting SSG also promised to be disciplined, result-oriented and loyal to the governor, who found him worthy of the appointment.
“I will do my best to be loyal to our governor, promote accountability, team work and shared responsibility,” the acting SSG said.
Goje, a Harvard University- trained humanitarian expert, lauded his predecessor, Alhaji Baba Wali’s sterling performance, saying he would build on successes recorded by the former SSG.
He noted that the state carried out sound policy reform under the former SSG in security, infrastructure, health, youth empowerment, among others.

The acting SSG thanked Buni for giving him the opportunity to serve in a higher capacity, saying that he would not betray the trust reposed in him.
In his remarks, Modu described Goje as a seasoned administrator, who would add value to the office in no small measure.
He expressed optimism that Goje, the immediate past Executive Secretary, State Emergency Management Agency, would bring his leadership skills into his new office.
The Voice Media Trust (VMT NEWS) reports that Buni approved Goje’s appointment on April 30 after the resignation of Wali who is now a governorship aspirant under the All Progressives Congress (APC)
