Newly-appointed Kebbi Commissioners get portfolios

The newly- appointed commissioners in Kebbi State were on Friday given different portfolios sequel to the approval of their posting by Gov. Nasir Idris. 

 Following their confirmation by State House of Assembly, the 26 commissioners were sworn-in on Friday by the state governor, Dr Idris to constitute the State Executive Council.

The governor had charged them to discharge their responsibilities and live up to the expectation of the government as well as to serve the people with dedication, commitment, sincerity, selflessness and fear of God. 

Alhaji Abubakar Muhammad, gets Commissioner of Finance; Alhaji Abdullahi Muslim, Works; Alhaji Isah Tunga, Higher Education, while Alhaji Nura Fingila, Youth and Sports Development and Alhaji Muhammad Dangi, Lands and Housing.

Alhaji Jinaidu Bello, was appointed the state Attorney- General and Commissioner of Justice; Dr Abba Kalgo, retained the Budget and Economic Planning; Kabir Alaramma, Animal Resources and Husbandry, and Haliru Wasagu, Solid Minerals Development and Mining.

Others were, Alhaji Shehu Mu’azu, Agriculture; Hayatu Bawa, Physical Planning and Urban Development; Musa Tungulawa, Environment; Bello Ka’oje, Water Resources; Garba Takware, Rural and Community Development and Yunusa Ismail, Ministry of Health.

A former Permanent Secretary state Ministry of Finance, Garba Dutsinmare, is a new Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs; Muhammad Jar-Kuka, Humanitarian Affairs and Empowerment; Ibrahim Sakaba, Digital Economy and Usman Ladan, Commerce and Industries. 

Dr Halima Bande, is appointed Commissioner of Basic and Secondary Education; Yakubu Ahmed, Information and Culture; Samaila Augie, Home Affairs and Internal Security; Sani Aliyu, Religious Affairs, while Zayyanu Aleiro, Social Duties, Auwal Dogondaji, Establishment, Training and Pensions and Halima Kamba, heads Women Affairs.
