Nigerian Speakers Expressed Satisfaction For Governor Bala’s Support To Bauchi Legislature

Speakers of State Legislatures in Nigeria has expressed satisfaction with the tremendous support and respect Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammad of Bauchi State shows to the Legislative Arms of the Government.

The Chairman of the Conference Rt. Hon. Abubakar Yakubu Suleiman highlighted the support when he led State’s legislative Arm Speakers to a courtesy visit to the Governor at Government House, Bauchi, on Friday.

Chairman of the Conference, also the Speaker of Bauchi State House of Assembly narrated how Governor Bala Mohammad rendered all needed support and cooperation to the House in carrying out its legislative activities.

Suleiman said he was surprised with Governor Bala’s support to the state Assembly, saying Bala was a former parliamentarian who so much believed in the sanctity of the legislature

Rt. Hon. Abubakar Suleiman also noted that Bauchi State under the stewardship of Governor Bala Mohammad is witnessing unprecedented transformation in virtually all aspects of human endeavour.

“In less than two years in office, he has embarked on various people-oriented projects across the State; from urban renewal to rural transformation, water expansion project to construction, renovation and equipping of schools and hospitals, construction of housing estates in six Emirates of the State to reconstruction of the Government House, to mention but a few.

“This feat is the product of the harmonious working relationship existing between the legislative and executive arms despite our differences. Though APC leads the legislative arm while PDP leads the Executive Arm, you don’t hear any rancour in the State Assembly.” He explained.

Speaker Suleiman thanked his colleagues for electing him to lead the Conference, narrating how his colleagues entrusted him with the leadership of the Conference, stressing that he was initially sceptical in accepting the challenge but the Governor supported and encouraged him to answer the clarion call.
