NNL: ZAMFARA UNITED FC BEAT YOBE DESERT STARS FC 3-1


Zamfara  United Football Club defeated Yobe Desert Stars Football Club 3-1 in the ongoing 2021/2022 Nigerian National League (NNL) season.


This is contained in a statement signed and issued in Gusau by the media officer to the state Directorate of Sport Development, Abubakar Tsalha.


The match held at Sardauna Memorial Stadium in Gusau last Sunday gave Zamfara its first win in the season.
“Congratulating the athletes over the victory, the Special Adviser to Governor Bello Matawalle on Sport Development, Mr Habibu Yuguda commended the Management, Players and Technical Crew of Zamfara Football United Club for their efforts.

“Yuguda urged them to redouble their efforts in the subsequent matches and assure that their welfare is the key priority of the present administration in the state”, Tsalha said.


“One of the players, Ahmed Yusha’u Lasisi scored two goals while the other own goal scored by Yobe Desert Stars defender which gave Zamfara the dramatical win and record first win in the season, he explained.
