NSCDC detains 10 suspected vandals in Kano
The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), detains 10 suspects over alleged vandalism in Kano State.
The Commandant of the corps, Mohammed Hassan-Agalama, said this while parading the suspects on Tuesday in Kano.
He said operatives of the corps detained the suspects over alleged vandalism, theft, criminal conspiracy, trespass and receiving stolen properties at different locations including Gwarmai in Ghari Local Government Area, Challawa Industrial Area, Unguwar Rimi and Waratallawa in Kumbotso LGA.

Hassan-Agalama said the corps recovered 200 metres of aluminium conductor cables, copper wires, handsets, power banks, knives, cutlasses, swords and scissors.
He said that investigations had been concluded and the suspects would soon be charged to court.
The commandant reiterated commitment to safeguard critical national assets and infrastructure, adding that the corps had zero tolerance for criminal activities across the state.
He urged residents to support security agencies with credible information to enable them to tackle security challenges effectively.
