Barring last-minute changes, President Mohammadu Buhari is set to appoint Mazu Jaji as minister from Taraba to replace the sacked minister of power, Sale Mamman who was the only representative of the state in the Federal Executive Council (FEC).
Our reporter gathered that the development didn’t go well with party members as there’s an ongoing rage in the Taraba chapter of the All Progressive Congress (APC) over the selection of Muazu Jaji as minister from the state.
Our reporter reliably gathered from multiple top party sources in the state in confidence that the party in the state is not happy about it. According to one of the sources, Jaji has not worked for the party in the state. Another source claimed that, just like the last minister Saleh Mamman, Jaji hasn’t done much for the party to become a minister.

Another added that such selection is capable of diving the party and slimming its chances of clinching the seat of the governor of the state thereby throwing the party into extinction
Further findings revealed that the nominee has been screened by the DSS already. Though not confirmed officially yet as his name is yet to be transmitted to the Senate for confirmation.
Since the former minister of power, Sale Mamman was sacked 3months ago, Taraba state doesn’t have a representative in the Federal Executive Council (FEC), and over 32 contenders including a former deputy governor of the state and the 32-year-old fellow have shown interest, lobbying to be a minister.
