Police establishes special task force to clamp down on abuse of diplomatic, spy number plates in Kebbi
The Police Command in Kebbi, says it has formed Special Task Force to clamp down on abuse of diplomatic and spy number plates in the state.
The Public Relations Officer of the command, DSP, Nafi’u Abubakar, made this known in statement issued to newsmen in Birnin Kebbi on Saturday.
” The Kebbi State Police Command wishes to remind the peace loving people of the state that the order for the war against abuse of diplomatic and spy number plates, tinted glass, use of unregistered vehicles/ motorcycles and covered number plates is still in force in Nigeria.
“In the light of the above, the command has formed a special task force that will clamp down on the abuse of such order; it will arrest, prosecute the violators; impound their unregistered vehicles/ motorcycles and spy/ fake number plates,” he said.

Abubakar also added that the Commissioner of Police in the state, CP, Adeleke Adeyinka Bode, thereby advised thw good people of the state to desist from the contravention of the order.
“Any one found culpable will be appropriately sanctioned according to the dictates of the law,” the PPRO said.
