Pray for Nigeria, Kebbi Gov’s wives urge intending pilgrims

Wives of Gov. Idris Nasir of Kebbi, Hajiya Zainab Nasir and Hajiya Nafisa Nasir have enjoined intending pilgrims to offer prayers for the state and Nigeria while in the holy Land.

The governor’s wives gave the advice while addressing the intending pilgrims preparatory to their maiden departure to Saudi Arabia in Birnin Kebbi on Saturday.

They maintained that the prayers of the pilgrims was needed to overcome the series of challenges confronting the state and the country as a whole.

In her remarks, Hajiya Zainab said the series of lectures, enlightenment programmes and seminars conducted for the pilgrims were meant to shape their attitude and thinking so that they would understand the importance and basics of the holy pilgrimage.

She revealed that the government had made adequate provision for accommodation, feeding arrangement, logistics, medical supports and other aids that would make the holy pilgrimage a success.

She urged the pilgrims to abide by all rules and regulations put in place either by the Nigerian authority and that of Saudi Arabia.
