Sokoto Gov. Elect Debunk Setting Up C’ttee To Probe  Tambuwal

BY ANKELI EMMANUEL,Sokoto

In a sharp response to media reports that the incoming APC government of Sokoto State will be probing every single finances of the State under governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, the governor-elect, Ahmed Aliyu has said he is not ready for such an exercise.

Making the position of the governor-elect known in a statement signed by his Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Abubakar Bawa, the governor-elect said, the story was not only fabricated but also malicious and very untrue.

“”The purported story appeared on the website of some online publishers, and we are urging people to disregard it.

“As far as I am concerned, we only set up a transition committee which is mandated to work hand in hand with the one set up by the outgoing administration of governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal in order to ensure smooth handing over come may 29th.

“I am yet to take full control of Sokoto State, talkless of setting up any committee to probe the outgoing governor” he stressed.

The governor elect therefore dissociates himself from the fabricated story and warned those behind it to desist from doing so.

” The task before my administration is how to ensure a new sokoto state, being that the state for now is  left far behind in all sectors of development.

“We want to see a state that will guarantee quality education, good road networks, effective heath care delivery, portable drinking water supply as well as good mechanized agricultural system to it’s citizens.”he said

Ahmed Aliyu therefore urged the public to disregard the fake story saying, it was fabricated by mischief makers in order to give the  incoming administration a bad name.
