Taraba APC Guber Primaries record impressive turn out

The gubernatorial Primaries of the All Progressives Congress APC in Taraba State records impressive turn out as the people participated massively in the process to elect a flag bearer for the party ahead of the 2027 general elections. 

Speaking after participation in the exercise at his hometown of Wukari in Wukari local government area, the State Governor Agbu Kefas said he was impressed at the level of participation and commended the peaceful conduct of the exercise. 

Governor Kefas is an aspirant in the election  alongside Alhaji Mu’azu Jaji following Wednesday David Kente’s decision to step aside from the race.

Addressing party officials and supporters after voting, Kefas expressed satisfaction with the peaceful conduct of the elections throughout the state.

He maintains that security of lives and property, human empowerment, physical infrastructure and other dividends of democracy will continue to be the priority of his administration.

Also in Kunini Ward of Lau Local Government Area, former Speaker of the State House of Assembly Professor Joseph Albasu Kunini told reporters that the turn out and conduct of the people gives hope for the forthcoming general elections. 

“Let me say that I am absolutely impressed by what we have witnessed here today. As you can see for yourself, this is just an internal party affair but you can see the crowd. The jinx of voter apathy is gradually been broken and people are more determined to participate in the process of choosing their leaders. 

“The peaceful conduct of the Primaries since the commencement of the exercise is also impressive and commendable. In Lau Local Government Area, I can assure you that we are united and determine to make the right choices irrespective of party and other affiliations” Kunini said.
