Taraba Youth Council pleads inclusion governance
The Taraba Chapter of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) has called on Gov. Agbu Kefas of Taraba to include more youths of the state in his cabinet.
Taraba NYCN Chairman Hikon Uten made the call while briefing newsmen in Jalingo on Thursday.
Uten also appealed to the governor to fulfill his campaign promise on job creation for the teeming youths as well as ensure that programmes that would better their lives were given top priority.
He commended the governor for his successful inauguration and for the appointing new Secretary to the State Government, Chief of Staff, Chief of Protocols and Chief Press Secretary.
He pledged the unalloyed support of the council to the new administration in taking the state to greater heights.
“I wish to congratulate our new governor for his successful inauguration as the fourth executive governor of the state.

“We have a youth population of more than one million and therefore urge him to consider the appointment of youths into his cabinet.
“He should also ensure that his promise to create job opportunities for the youths was actualised within his tenure in the office.
“Taraba Youths will continue to support the new administration to achieve its vision of turning around the fortunes of the state,” Uten said.
