On Sunday night, terrorists descended upon the Kajuru-Station community in Kaduna State, kidnapping 87 individuals.
Harisu Dari, a member of the Kajuru-Station Youths, disclosed this disturbing incident in Kaduna on Monday.
According to Harisu, the assailants not only abducted civilians but also pillaged shops, seizing food supplies and other valuables. The invasion occurred at approximately 10 pm, instilling fear and panic among the residents.
This raid follows closely on the heels of another abduction just two days prior, where 15 women and a man were taken from the Dogon-Noma community within the same local government area. Kajuru and Chikun LGs have recently emerged as epicenters of kidnapping, escalating tensions across the state.
Harisu lamented the lack of communication with the abducted locals and the absence of security presence to reassure the traumatized villagers. He called for urgent government intervention to address the growing threat posed by terrorists.
Reports from PUNCH Online reveal a chilling pattern of terror, with over 172 villagers abducted by these criminals in the span of just two weeks. Despite attempts to seek clarification from the state Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Mansir Hassan, no response has been forthcoming at the time of compiling this report.
