There is Employment Dearth in Nigeria Youth Minister Insists

The Minister of Youths and Sports Development, Mr Sunday Akin Dare, on Saturday urged  the 2022 Batch A, Stream I, Corps Members, currently undergoing  Three -week orientation course at Wamakko Permanent Orientation Camp, Sokoto State, to properly utilize the skills they  acquire through the skills acquisition program to add value to the nation’s economy, as well as creating wealth  for themselves. 


” I implore you to take advantage of  the skill acquisition training you are going through in the  camp   due to employment dearth in the country the minister stated.   The Minister who Inspected the camp facilities said he was impressed with what is on ground  


Dare appreciated the efforts of the administration of Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal for the recent renovation been carried out which give facelift to  the orientation camp.   “We are very much pleased with the support and assistance that the NYSC Scheme is enjoying from the state government, especially the seamless payment of state allowance to all the serving corps members and the provision of the security to safeguard their lives in the state Dare added.
 The  MInister, therefore urged corps members to reciprocate the wonderful gesture by putting in their best to provide qualitative services at their various places of primary assignment.


” I came in to.sokoto yesterday and had so many engagements with  Governor Tambuwal, and I felt my visit would not be complete without coming to visit the corps members that are undergoing orientation exercise.
” Hence, I decided to come and see your condition on camp and to also charge  you to participate actively in all camp activities.”

” You should also respect constituted authorities and also obey all camp rules and regulations as to achieve the lofty ideals of the Scheme,” he added. Earlier in his welcome address, the State Coordinator,  Alhaji Muhammad Nakamba, thanked  the Minister for finding time to pay a special visit to the camp.


” We are honoured to host  the Honourable Minister , which is the first of its kind here in Wamakko orientation camp. 
“Your visit is indeed a lovely one Sir, because it inspires and go a long way to encourage the corps members  Nakamba added .


Mujidat Abubakar, with state code So/22A/ 024, spoke on behalf of the prospective corps members.
