Wali Hails Yobeans For Solidarity, Urges Massive Support For Tinubu, Buni

The Yobe State All Progressives Congress (APC) Governorship Candidate, Alhaji Baba Malam Wali, has expressed profound gratitude to the people of Nguru and the entire state for the overwhelming support and solidarity shown toward his candidacy and the party.

Alhaji Wali made these remarks on Saturday shortly after casting his vote at Polling Unit 003, Lawan Ngoma, in Ngilewa Ward, Nguru Local Government Area, during the ongoing local government elections.

Reflecting on the turnout and the atmosphere at the polls, a visibly moved Wali praised the spirit of brotherhood among his constituents. “What I saw in the last few days is not just politics; it is love. It is brotherhood. You have shown that we are one family, one people, one Yobe,” he stated, thanking the electorate for their commitment to peace and progress.

During his address, the governorship hopeful seized the opportunity to galvanize support for the party’s leadership at the national and state levels. He urged voters to remain steadfast in backing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Yobe State Governor, Hon. Dr. Mai Mala Buni.

“Let us support our President, His Excellency Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and our Governor Dr. Mai Mala Buni. They have given us hope, they have given us development, and they have given Yobe a pride of place in Nigeria,” Wali declared. He lauded President Tinubu’s “Renewed Hope” agenda and praised Governor Buni for transforming Yobe into a model of peace and sustainable development.

Wali further appealed to the electorate to maintain a peaceful and law-abiding conduct throughout the exercise. “Today is our day. Let us vote wisely; let us vote for continuity, progress, and prosperity. Our strength is in our unity,” he added.

Also present at the polling unit, elder statesman and key APC stakeholder, Alhaji Mohammed Wali Shettima, commended the peaceful conduct of the election. He echoed the candidate’s sentiments, describing the APC as the only party truly dedicated to the welfare of the common man.

“APC is the only party that knows the value of the common man, that listens to the common man, and that works for the common man,” Alhaji Shettima remarked, urging residents to protect the developmental strides achieved by the current administration.

The atmosphere at the polling unit was one of jubilation, with supporters gathering to cheer for the APC leadership, signaling a strong turnout and continued enthusiasm for the party’s vision for the state. Daily Independent
