Wife of Kebbi Gov, Dr. Zainab Shinkafi Bagudu flags off APC women campaign rally in Argungu

All roads on Sunday led to Argungu as women trooped to the Flag off of the APC Women campaign rally for the 2023 general election in support of APC presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, APC gubernatorial candidate, Dr Nasir Idris Kauran Gwandu and all APC candidates.

The resilient women led by the wife of the Governor, Dr. Zainab Shinkafi Bagudu, the Convener of the epic event had also vowed to massively cast their votes for the APC gubernatorial candidate, Dr. Nasiru Idris, Kauran Gwandu, Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu and all candidates, top to bottom.

The Zonal Coordinator, North-West APC women Presidential Campaign and wife of the Governor, Dr. Zainab Shinkafi Bagudu, her husband, Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, the state Director-General, APC Campaign Council, former Governor Sa’idu Usman Nasamu Dakingari, the APC Gubernatorial Candidate, Dr. Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu and his running mate, Senator Umar Abubakar, Tafidan Kabi, were overwhelmed by the presence of thousands of women who hearkened to the call of the party to the flag-off campaign.

Dr Zainab Shinkafi Bagudu, acknowledged the myriad of developmental projects executed by President Muhammadu Buhari and her husband.

She also promised that, Kauran Gwandu, if elected, would sustain the extant giant strides and even surpass them.

The Wife of the Kebbi State Governor also extolled the marvelous support of women to the administration of Buhari and Bagudu.

She, therefore, urged the women of the state to vote in Kauran Gwandu and all APC candidates.

“The wives of Kauran Gwandu are equally unrelenting amazons who are determined to continue from where  I will stop and even surpass me.

Dr. Zainab Shinkafi Bagudu also lauded the DG of the campaign council Alhaji Sa’idu Nasamu Dakingari for transforming the state when he was Governor.

The wives of the APC gubernatorial candidate, Hajiya Zainab Nasare and Hajiya Nafisa, recalled that women in the state have never have it so good like during an APC government in the last eight years.

“We will continue from where Dr. Zainab Shinkafi Bagudu will stop and take the women of the state to the desired standard,”they promised.

The two wives of Dr. Nasir Idris, Hajiya Zainab Nasare and Hajiya Nafisa commended Dr. Zainab Shinkafi Bagudu and her husband, Senator Atiku Bagudu for laying the foundation of people-oriented development which provided convenient platform to their husband to campaign for election.

They  expressed profound appreciation to the women for their massive show of solidarity, urging them to translate such love into victory for Dr. Nasir Idris.

Also speaking, Bagudu commended his wife for her invaluable efforts and the success of all his programmes and policies especially those affecting women, children and other vulnerable persons.

The Chairman of the APC Governors’ Forum also said that women are critical to Nigeria’s democracy, coupled with their demographic advantage.

The Kebbi State Governor further appreciated Nigerian women for voting in Apc at all levels in 2015 and 2019, appealing to them to replicate the feat.

He said, the APC led-administration has provided empowerment to more than twenty million women nationwide, in addition to women education to enable them become self-reliant.

Bagudu added that the APC has also given equal political opportunity to women to vie for elective positions, which made it possible for the emergence of an APC female governorship candidate in Adamawa state for the 2023 elections whose flag-off campaign was performed in Yola by President Muhammadu Buhari and attended by him, as the Chairman of Progressives Governors’ Forum.

The APC Progressives Governors’ Forum Chairman further explained that the Federal Government has made it possible for a Nigerian Woman, Hajiya Amina Muhammad to become the Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations as well as Mrs. Ngozi Nwaela as the Director-General of the World Trade Organization.

The governor presented the APC flag to the gubernatorial candidate of the party, Dr. Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu and his deputy, Senator Umar Abubakar Tafida at the venue of the rally.

In his speech, Dakingari expressed optimism that with the mammoth crowd of women at Argungu, APC candidates are just waiting for innaguration, in sha Allahu.

He said that the votes for APC will be votes for sustainable development and not retrogression.

Also speaking, APC gubernatorial candidate, Dr Nasiru Idris, Kauran Gwandu described the event as epochal and lauded Dr Zainab Shinkafi Bagudu for her tireless efforts.

He extolled her for being passionate about all women issues and other related vulnerable groups, especially youths and the aged.

Idris also commended Bagudu for changing the landscape of the state in the last eight years.

“I have been adequately groomed by our leader, Gov. Bagudu and I will emulate him and start from where he will stop.

“I will never derail from his trajectory of development and I will never disappoint the people of the state in consolidating his colossal developmental strides, “Kauran Gwandu, viewed.

Earlier, the Director General of the campaign Kaura/Tafida Hajiya Tsahara Bawa while thanking the women for their unprecedented turnout.

She highlighted a number of empowerment programs initiated by Dr. Zainab Shinkafi Bagudu which impacted on women and youths in the State through Kebbi State Multipurpose Cooperative Union .

Empowerment materials such as Freezers,Grinding Machines and Chacoal Pots were distributed to women.
