World Cup: South Africa rescue point after Mokoena penalty against Czechia
South Africa battled back from a goal down to secure a 1-1 draw against Czechia in their Group A clash at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Midfielder Teboho Mokoena stepped up and calmly converted from the spot in the 83rd minute to bring South Africa level.
Czechia pushed for a late winner, while South Africa defended firmly to protect the valuable point.
The final whistle confirmed a 1-1 draw, leaving both teams still fighting for qualification from Group A.
For South Africa, the result provided a much-needed boost after their opening defeat, while Czechia were left disappointed after missing chances to secure victory.
