Yobe Acting SSG urges SSAs on media to focus on showcasing govt achievements
The Acting Secretary to the Yobe State Government (SSG), Dr Mohammed Goje, has called on Senior Special Assistants (SSAs) on Media to the Governor to sustain and strengthen efforts aimed at showcasing the achievements and developmental strides recorded under the administration of Governor Mai Mala Buni.
Dr Goje made the call on Tuesday when he received members of the Forum of Senior Special Assistants on Media, led by its Chairman, Ibrahim Abba, during a courtesy visit to his office in Damaturu.
In a statement made available to journalists by the focal person public engagement and media liaison Ibrahim Baba Saleh said the acting SSG commended Governor Buni for his visionary leadership and commitment to youth inclusion in governance, noting that the appointment of many young people into key government positions reflects the administration’s confidence in the capacity of youths to contribute meaningfully to governance and development.

He urged the media aides to remain united, foster teamwork, and continue to project government policies, programmes, and achievements professionally and responsibly.
According to him, effective communication remains critical in ensuring that citizens are adequately informed about the government’s interventions and the impact of its development initiatives across the state.
Dr Goje also encouraged members of the forum to promote social cohesion among themselves while leveraging various media platforms to amplify the successes recorded by the administration in infrastructure, education, healthcare, agriculture, security, youth empowerment, and other sectors.
Earlier, the Chairman of the Forum of Senior Special Assistants on Media, Ibrahim Abba, said the delegation was at the SSG’s office to formally congratulate Dr Goje on his appointment and wish him success in the discharge of his responsibilities

He assured the Acting SSG of the forum’s unwavering support and commitment to advancing the communication objectives of the government.
Abba disclosed that the forum has developed a number of strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing the visibility of government projects and programmes to ensure that the people of Yobe State remain well informed about the administration’s achievements.
He also expressed appreciation to Governor Mai Mala Buni for the confidence reposed in them through their appointments, noting that the opportunity to serve since the inception of the administration has provided them with a platform to contribute to the state’s development and public enlightenment efforts.
The meeting was attended by the Domestic Personal Assistant to the Governor Mallam Hassan Shettima and the State APC Youth Leader Mohammed Musa Gulani.
