Yobe Governor appoints Thinklab CEO as special adviser on international relations

Yobe Governor appoints Thinklab CEO as special adviser on international relations Yobe State governor, Mai Mala Buni has appointed the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and group chairman of Thinklab Group Limited, Dr. Sa’id Alkali Kori, as his special adviser on international relations and development.

This was announced on Wednesday in a statement signed by Secretary to the State Government, Baba Malam Wali. According to the statement, Kori’s appointment is in recognition of his capacity in driving development and adding value to the society.

The government also acknowledged his past performances, dedication to work, and personal commitment to the development of the state, making him worthy of the appointment.

Governor Buni, who doubles as the chairman of Lake Chad Governors Forum, also appointed Kori as Technical Adviser to the forum. Buni noted that the appointee’s international network and leadership is an important asset to the mandate of the forum, and would enable him foster collaborations and other developments.

This, he said, would enhance engagement with partners and accelerate progress in the forum’s activities. Dr. Kori holds a doctorate from the University of Liverpool and masters from the University of Salford.

He also has a bachelors degree in Architecture from Federal University of Technology, Yola. As an entrepreneur, the Thinklab boss is a former General Manager at Family Home Funds. Among other things, he also has experience as a lecturer at the University of Liverpool and Yobe State University.

He has equally worked with many countries in different continents and holds board positions with Multinational Corporations like BIM Africa and Fulus Capital.
