ZAMFARA APC CHAIRMAN URGES SOCIAL MEDIA HANDLERS TO PROMOTE RECONCILIATION
The Zamfara Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Alhaji Tukur Danfulani has called on the social media handlers to promote recent APC reconciliation drive in the state.
Danfulani made the call in Gusau at a One-day symposium on peace and unity for social media handlers in the state organised by a popular social media group “Matawalle Media Crew (MMC)”.
Danfulani represented by the Director General, Zamfara Directorate of Political Affairs and Inter-party relations, Mr Mika’ilu Aliyu commended social media handlers in promoting the party and government activities in the state.
According to party chairman, the social media as modern and easiest and way of sharing information in the society if property used will promote peace and stability in the society.

“We acknowledge your sacrifices and dedications towards promoting our great party, the APC and various achievements of APC led government in the state.
“We should use similar tool and promote the recent reconciliation drive within the party in the state.
“You should organized various programmes through social media to enlighten the general public in the state on achievements and advantages of APC reconciliation in the state”, Danfulani said.
The Guest Speaker of the event, Dr Mika’ilu Barau from Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto commended the group for organizing the event.
“This is timely as it will enhance the capacity of your members and other youths on how utilize social media to promote better society.
“Youths as leaders of tomorrow have opportunities to contribute their quota for the development of the society through the social media.
“Social media is one of the modern tools that if used property could lead employment opportunities, promotion of unity, peace and stability in the society”, he said.
Dr Barau cautioned youths against using the social media to distract peace and stability according to him no nation could develop without peace and stability.
Others speakers at the event, Dr Anas Anka of the Federal University Gusau and Mr Al’amin Tsafe Chairman, Zamfara Circle a popular Civil Society Organizations (CSO) in the state urged youths to utilize social media in advocating development and good governance.
Dr Anka urged youths to utilize social media as a tool for various opportunities for their future development.
Mr Tsafe called on them to use social media platforms and advocate for social protection programmes especially education, health and empowerment.
Earlier the Chairman, Matawalle Media Crew (MMC), Abdul Bala Gusau said the group is an NGO working to promote APC led administration in the under Gov Bello Matawalle.
Bala Gusau said the symposium is aimed at enhancing capacity building of members of the group as well as other social media handlers towards promoting the state and Nigeria in general.
