“Anyone who has evidence of misappropriation against me can charge me to Court..”  Senator Bwacha challenges critics

By Gabriel Olayinka

The Senator Representing Taraba South in the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Emmanuel Bwacha, who is also contesting for the Governorship of Taraba State under the All Progressive Congress APC, has challenged all those accusing him of any form of corruption to approach the courts if they have any concrete evidence.

The Senator stated this while responding to questions at a Press Conference he organised with newsmen in his Campaign Office in Jalingo. He said, as a Senator of the Federal Republic, he doesn’t enjoy immunity. So, anyone is free to take him to court to prove their allegations. He described the allegations as works of political  distracters who don’t mean well for the State.

He explained that Constituency projects are not awarded by the legislatures but by various ministries and agencies of government. Bwacha insists that people trying hard to demarket him are those who failed to deliver dividends of democracy to the people.

He says “those who couldn’t do anything for the people are not happy that I lobbied so many projects for my Constituency.”

The Senator at the Press Conference said he is contesting to revive what he called the “decaying infrastructure” in the State and to bring governance closer to the people.

He also lamented the prevention of his aircraft from landing in Danbaba Suntai Airport on Tuesday by agents of the State because of political reasons.

Sen. Bwacha was accompanied at the Press Conference by the Director General Bwacha Campaign Organization, Engr. Ahmed Yusuf and all his Campaign Coordinators from the 16 local government areas of Taraba State.Attachm
