Zamfara APC reconciliation: Ex-Gusau council chairman calls for unity
The Former Chairman of Gusau Local Government Council in Zamfara State, Alhaji Ibrahim Umar Tanko has called for peace and unity among members of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in the state.
Tanko made the call in Gusau while addressing APC youths group under Aminu Sani Jaji movement.

He described the recent reconciliation by the party’s stakeholders in the state as a welcome development.
“Our leaders have demostrated maturity and determination as they buried all their greivances and united together to move the party forward”, he said.
He cautioned members of the party to avoid hate speeches and inciting comments against each other in order to maintain peace and stability in the party.
“As members of the party, we shall avoid anything that will threat unity, peace and stability in the party.
“We should support our leaders to promote strength and growth in the party”, Tanko explained.
He commended the former APC governatorial aspirant, Alhaji Aminu Sani Jaji for his contributing to the development of the party.
He thanked Jaji for supporting party members especially youths and women across the 14 LGAs of the state.
He described the move by the former governor and APC leader in the state, Alhaji Abdul’aziz Yari to vie for the National chairmanship position of the party as a welcome development.
He said Yari as a grassroots politician by who held various positions at state and national levels, has all the qualities to be the national chairman of the APC.
He called on APC members in the state to support the former governor with prayers to succeed his ambition.
He appealed to them to participate actively in the ongoing APC registration/revalidation exercise so as to obtain the party’s membership card.
The former council chaiman expressed optimism of the party’s victory in the 2023 general elections in the state.
