ZAMFARA FIRST LADY DISTRIBUTES RAMADAN WELFARE PACKAGE TO LESS PRIVILEGED WOMEN
Zamfara First Lady, Hajiya Aisha Bello Matawalle on Sunday flagged off the distribution of Ramadan Welfare Package to less privileged women across the state.
Presenting the items to the beneficiaries in Gusau, Hajiya Aisha Matawalle who was represented by the Special Adviser to Governor, First Lady’s office, Hajiya Fatima Musa said the gesture was aimed at assisting the less privileged women, heads households, orphans and widows to enjoy Ramadan fast.
The package included Rice, Millet, Sugar and Macaroni.
According to her a total of 70,000 less privileged women are expected to benefit from the gesture across the 14 local government areas of the state.

“5000 beneficiaries will benefit from the gesture in each of the 14 local government areas of the state.
I am happy to be here with you today witnessing another distribution of ramadan welfare package for the holy month of Ramadan”, Hajiya Aisha Matawalle added.

“As we all know, this is one of various intervention programmes by my office to promote welfare and standard of living of vulnerable groups in the state.
” I am wishing all of us the blessing of this holy month”, she explained.Hajiya Aisha Matawalle urged the beneficiaries to ensure judicious utilization of the items and feed their families.
She appealed to Muslims to use Ramadan period to offer special prayers for Allah’s intervention to provide lasting solutions to security challenges facing the state and Nigeria in general.
Responding, the State Women Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hajiya Aisha Waziri described the gesture as timely.
“On behalf of the entire women in the state, I extend our appreciation to Her Excellency for providing succour to the the less privileged women and their families.”, She said.
