ZAMFARA MASSACRE: APC COMMENDS GOVERNOR MATAWALLE’S MEASURES IN TACKLING BANDITRY

The Zamfara State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has commended Governor Bello Matawalle for introducing proactive measures in the fight against banditry, urged him not to relent efforts.


This is contained in a statement issued in Gusau by the State Publicity Secretary of the party, Alhaji Yusuf Idris Gusau.
“The State APC chairman, Alhaji Tukur Umar Danfulani made the commendation in Gusau on Tuesday while receiving the party executives from Maradun and Bakura Local Government Areas who paid him solidarity visit in his office.


“Danfulani said the immediate visit by governor Matawalle to the affected communities to commiserate with the families of the victims was commendable and a clear commitments of his APC led-administration to end banditry activities in the state.


“A day before the incident at Anka and Bukkuyum, the governor also led security an operation in the night at Tsafe LGA where large number of bandits were killed describing his action as unparalleled and a total sacrifice to Zamfara citizens and its existence as a state”, Idris said. explained.

The APC Chairman also pledged continued support of the party to the governor in the fight against banditry and urged him not to diverted by the unpatriotic opposition in the state.


He also called on the party leaders from the two LGAs to continue to support all  government policies and programmes of governor Matawalle especially with special prayers in his fight against banditry and other criminal activities in the state. 


Danfulani urged party executives from the two LGAs mobilize the electorates to go and register and get their PVC since INEC is still registering people.


In their separate remarks, the party stakeholders from the two LGAs  applauded the new leadership of the party for repositioning the party within the short period of his stewardship urging him to sustain his stride for the success of the party.
