ZAMFARA MASSACRE: LAWMAKER URGES FOR CONTINUOUS PRAYERS

The member house of reps representing Gummi/Bukkuyum Constituency in Zamfara has called on the people of the state to continue praying and seek for Allah’s intervention to provide lasting solutions to the lingering security challenges facing the state and Nigeria in general.

Gummi made the call while reacting to the recent bandit’s attack in some communities in Anka and Bukkuyum local government areas of the state.
He advised the citizens to seek for Allah’s intervention.

“You know, one of the affected LGAs, Bukkuyum is in my constituency and we lost 36 lives to the attack”.
“This is very unfortunate because my constituency has been relatively peaceful and suddenly this event happened.
“We need to look for lasting solutions through prayers, we should look for ultimate solutions from Allah.
“We should be vigilant in our communities, we should be careful with the activities of informants”, the Lawmaker said.
Gummi commended Gov Bello Matawalle, federal government and security agencies for their quick response to the problem.

He appreciate the governor for visiting the area and providing relief materials to the families of the deceased and other victims of the attacks.

“We are in holiday now, but that doesn’t stop me from doing my work as representative of people”, he said.
“Immediately if I go back to Abuja, I will write a report and forward it to the house of reps and seek for relief materials to the victims”, the lawmaker added.

He urged people of the constituency to remain law abiding and always respect the authorities and cooperate with measures by the governments at all levels as well as security agencies.
