ZAMFARA POLICE RESCUE 7 KIDNAPED VICTIMS FROM NIGER STATE 

The Zamfara police command has rescued seven victims kidnaped by gunmen from Niger state.
This is contained in a statement issued in Gusau by the police public relations officer in the state, SP Muhammad Shehu.


“In its continuous search and rescue operations aimed at rescuing victims that are currently in captivity at various bandit’s enclaves in the state, the command has succeeded in rescuing seven kidnaped victims from Niger state.
“On 25th Feb. 2022, the tactical operatives of the command in collaboration with the military deployed along Dansadau axis in Maru local government area of the state have successfully rescued seven kidnaped victims who are natives of Chibade village in Rijau LGA of Niger state. 


“The victims during debriefing informed the police that, on 21st Feb., 2022  bandits in large number, stormed the village and abducted seven of them to unknown location in Dansadau forest of the state”, Shehu said.

“The joint police and military operatives while on a coordinated bush clearance around Dansadau axis, successfully rescued the affected victims and brought them to Yariman Bakura Specialist Hospital, Gusau receiving medical treatment.


“All the victims will be handed over to Niger state police command for further appropriate action. 
“The commissioner of police Zamfara command, Ayuba Elkana congratulated the victims and their families for regaining their freedom.


The CP assured  members of the general public of Police continuous commitment to rid the State of all form of criminal activities”, the PPRO added.
