The Yobe Youth Forum has declared total support for the governorship aspiration of Alhaji Baba Mallam Wali mni, the aspirant endorsed by Mai Mala Buni and key stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Addressing journalists in Damaturu, Dr. Mohammed Alkali Dilala who spke on behalf of the group, the youths described the endorsement as a โdefining momentโ in the stateโs political trajectory, adding that their position followed extensive consultations across communities, youth groups, and party stakeholders.
โWe speak with one voiceโclear, united, and purposeful,โ the forum stated, stressing that the endorsement of Wali reflects โexperience, capacity, and alignmentโ with the development agenda pursued under Buniโs administration.
The group acknowledged Nigeriaโs democratic framework, noting that all qualified aspirants have the constitutional right to contest. However, it maintained that Waliโs emergence as the APCโs preferred candidate is โtimely and strategic,โ offering continuity, stability, and sustained progress in Yobe State.
The youths reaffirmed their loyalty to Governor Buni, crediting his administration with prioritising youth inclusion, empowerment, and opportunity. They described themselves as โpartners in progressโ rather than passive observers in the political process.

โOur support is total. Our commitment is firm. Our resolve is unshakable,โ the forum declared, adding that it had mobilised its structures across the state to deliver decisive votes for Wali at the polls.
The group also called on young people to remain peaceful, focused, and law-abiding throughout the political season, urging collective commitment to democratic values and the broader goal of a stable and prosperous Yobe State.
