𝐘𝐨𝐛𝐞 𝐒𝐎𝐋𝐈𝐃 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐦 𝐇𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐬 𝐁𝐚𝐮𝐜𝐡𝐢 𝐃𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐧 𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐲 visit.

The Yobe State Solutions for Internally Displaced Persons and Host Communities (SOLID) Project team, led by the State Project Coordinator, Suleiman Dauda has received a delegation from Bauchi State led by the State Project Coordinator, Dr. Abdulsamad Abubakar, on a three-day technical study visit focused on implementation preparedness under the World Bank-supported SOLID Project.
In a statement made available to journalists by the communication officer of the project Ali Musa Yawale said the visit is designed to provide the Bauchi delegation with practical insights into Yobe State’s implementation readiness processes, institutional coordination mechanisms, and operational strategies established to support effective rollout of durable solutions interventions for internally displaced persons (IDPs) and host communities.
During the engagement, the Yobe SOLID team presented key milestones achieved by the state in areas including policy and institutional readiness, project coordination arrangements, investment planning, procurement preparation, safeguards compliance, stakeholder engagement, and inter-ministerial coordination. The team also highlighted lessons learned from Yobe’s experience in strengthening operational systems and aligning implementation structures with World Bank requirements.
Speaking at the session, Suleiman Dauda emphasized the importance of peer learning and inter-state collaboration in strengthening implementation capacity across participating states. He noted that Yobe State remains committed to supporting knowledge exchange initiatives that promote effective project delivery, compliance, and sustainability.

In his remarks, the Bauchi State SOLID Project Coordinator, Dr. Abdulsamad Abubakar, commended Yobe State for the progress recorded in implementation preparedness and institutional coordination, describing the visit as timely and highly beneficial to Bauchi State’s readiness efforts as a Tier-2 participating state under the SOLID Project.
The visit featured technical presentations, interactive discussions, and experience-sharing sessions covering project governance structures, fiduciary systems, safeguards processes, staffing arrangements, monitoring and evaluation frameworks, and coordination with Ministries, Departments, Agencies (MDAs), and durable solutions partners.
The delegation also paid a courtesy visit to the Acting Secretary to the Yobe State Government, Dr. Mohammed Goje where he commended the team for the visit, reaffirming Yobe State Government’s commitment to supporting the successful implementation of the SOLID Project and durable solutions initiatives.
