Yobe Acting Grand Khadi inspected the upper and lower Shari’a courts for effective administration of justice

The state Acting Grand Khadi Justice Abba Mammadi has embarked on an inspection tour to the judiciary Sharia court of appeals across the state to strengthen judicial service.
Justice Abba Mammadi, who led other management of the judiciary, inspected the upper and lower Shari’a courts in Tarmuwa and Bursari local government, respectively.

The Acting Grand Khadi emphasised the importance of educating Shari’a judges on new measures aimed at easing the adjudication of cases particularly where witnesses are lacking.
Justice Abba Mammadi outlined that the inspection tour is part of his policy to enhance access to justice, addressing lingering issues in the judiciary system and to strengthen the existing working Synergy.
The acting grand Khadi expressed confidence in the judiciary’s ability to resolve commercial disputes and civil cases efficiently.
Part of his visit was to inspect working equipment and the conditions of the upper and lower Shari’a courts across the seventeen local government areas of the state.
The Grand Khadi emphasised the effective registry, correspondence files, ownership certificates, transmission of record of proceedings from lower to upper Shari’a courts and from upper to high courts on some matters among others.
He encouraged staff on punctuality, dedication to duty and to further their education to ensure effective administration of justice within the state’s judicial system.
The state grand Khadi called on judges overseeing various Shari’a courts to adhere to Shari’a principles and judicial processes.

Speaking during the inspection visit, the Chief Inspector of the Sharia Courts Division, Damaturu Shari’a Court of Appeal, Haruna Musa Malur commended Khadi Abba Mammadi’s commitment to the ongoing efforts to strengthen the state’s judicial framework.
Haruna Maluri said the inspection visit is essential in the dispensation of justice, especially in rural areas.
He commended the efforts of the state government under the leadership of Governor Mai Mala Buni for giving all the necessary support to the Shari’a courts and called for more support to effective and efficient service delivery.
The state grand Khadi was accompanied by Khadi Kasim Muhammad Kasim, deputy chief registry Mustapha Wakil, deputy chief inspector Ja’afar Gambo Lawan and the director of finance and supply of the state judiciary Sharia court of appeal, Alhaji Fantami Garbai, among others.
