Dr Yahas Appointed as Yobe Coordinator of City Boy Movement

The City Boy Movement, a youth-driven political support movement committed to mobilising, educating, and empowering young Nigerians for active participation in politics and governance, has announced the appointment of Dr. Muhammad Yakubu Hassan otherwise known as (Dr. Yahas) as the Yobe State Coordinator.
The City Boy Movement is built around the ideals, vision, and leadership style of Preaident Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, with a clear focus on promoting progressive leadership, grassroots engagement, and sustained youth involvement in governance.
Working in line with the ideals of All Progressives Congress (APC), the movement is dedicated to advancing the Renewed Hope Agenda through unity, loyalty, political awareness, and strategic mobilisation of young people at all levels.
Dr. Yahas brings to the role a rich blend of professional expertise, political experience, and grassroots connection. A Medical Doctor and public health advocate, he is widely recognised for his passion for youth inclusion in politics and governance. He is a committed stakeholder of the APC and has been actively involved in political campaigns and party activities during the 2019 and 2023 election cycles, where he played key roles in grassroots mobilisation and party development.

At the national level, Dr. Yahas served as a member of the Presidential Campaign Council during the 2023 Presidential Election. He also distinguished himself as Co-Convener of the Tinubu–Shettima Support Organization, working closely with young people and community stakeholders across the country to mobilise support, strengthen political participation, and promote inclusive leadership.
Further strengthening his governance credentials, Dr. Yahas previously served as an aide to the former Minister of State for Works and Housing, who later became the Minister of Power. A role that gained him a valuable exposure to federal governance, policy coordination, and public service delivery.
