Garaku/ Bassa Road construction captured in 2026 budget – Speaker

The Speaker, Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Dr Danladi Jatau, has confirmed  that the Garaku and Bassa Road construction has been captured  in the 2026 budget

He  expressed optimism that the state government would  commence the construction  road soon .

Jatau, who represents Kokona West Constituency, stated  this  when the stakeholders of Bassa District, Kokona LGA, visited him  in his office in Lafia, on Monday.

The speaker said that the construction of the road would boost agriculture,  revenue base of farmers and the socio- economic activities of the people.

” By God’s grace, Bassa road will be constructed by  our amiable Governor, Abdullahi Sule,

” He has given us the assurance  that Bassa road will be constructed before his tenure expires and it has been  captured in the 2026 budget, ” he said

Jatau  appreciated the people for calling on him to contest for House of Representatives of Keffi/ Karu/ Kokona Federal Constituency while pledging  more development, if elected come 2027.

“I have accepted  to contest for the seat of Keffi/ Karu/ Kokona Federal Constituency come 2027, as leadership comes from God ,

“Please continue to pray for me to succeed. I appreciate you for electing and supporting for the race

“I will do more  in the area of project executions, employment, empowerment, appointments among others,” he said

Jatau also appreciated the people for living in unity and peace among themselves irrespective of their different affiliations.

Jatau pledged  quality representation as well as projects for Kokona West constituency even as he  appreciated them for printing 2000 T-shirts and Caps as well as banners for  his campaign .

Earlier, Mr Shuaibu Salihu – Salau, the leader of the delegation, said that the visit was to appreciate the speaker for the good work he is doing.

” You have done well in employment and  empowerment,

” This visit is also to endorse you for the seat of Keffi/ Karu/ Kokona Federal constituency come 2027,” he said.

He assured their readiness to mobilise people from Kokona and other LGAs to support his House of Representatives ambition come 2027.

He, however, appealed to the government to accelerate  the construction of Bassa road,  more employment, empowerment and projects among others.
