FG intensifying efforts to tackle insecurity, says TETFund Boss

The Executive Secretary, Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund), Sonny Echono, has reaffirmed President Bola Tinubu’s commitment to tackling insecurity and creating an enabling environment for sustainable socio-economic development.

Echono stated this at the burial ceremony of the Chief Minister of Odugbo, A’adu Odugbo (Igbene Enogela), in Odugbo-Ochekwu, Apa Local Government Area of Benue State.

This is contained in a statement issued on Saturday in Abuja by Michael Abu on behalf of the Ai’Ekpa Family of Odugbo-Ochekwu.

Echono, who is a prominent son of the community, assured residents of Odugbo and the wider Apa area that the insecurity affecting parts of the local government and other areas would soon be addressed through the efforts of the Federal Government and security agencies.

He said the Tinubu administration remained committed to restoring peace, protecting lives and property, and accelerating development across the country.

Echono urged the people to remain united and support government efforts to achieve lasting peace and progress.

According to him, Nigerians should continue to have confidence in Tinubu’s leadership and vision for a secure, prosperous and united country.

The burial ceremony attracted dignitaries, community leaders, traditional rulers, family members and other well-wishers who paid their last respects to the late Chief Minister, a position next in rank to the paramount ruler, Ejila.

The late Pa Enogela, who headed the Ai’Ekpa family, is survived by his wife, four daughters, grandchildren and his only surviving son, Sunday Igbene.

The Voice Media Trust (VMT NEWS) reports that Sunday Igbene is the Special Assistant to the TETFund Executive Secretary and a former Personal Assistant to the Secretary to the Benue State Government.
