APC NATIONAL WOMEN LEADER LAUNCHES WOMEN EMPOWERMENT PROGRAMME IN ZAMFARA
The National Women Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr Betta Edu has empowered 500 vulnerable women with cash in Maradun local government area of Zamfara state.
Speaking at the official launching of the project on Saturday in Maradun town, Maradun local governments area of the state, Edu said that the beneficieries would receive cash ranging from 20,000 to N100,000.
The APC women empowerment project targeting 500 beneficieries comprising women rural farmers, women small and medium scale traders.
The APC national women leader said the programme is to empower women in the state.
“This is aimed at complementing Zamfara government’s efforts in promoting lives of women in the state.
“The national headquarters of the APC is aware of various programmes and policies initiated by Matawalle’s administration in the state.

“I am highly delighted with the smiles driven policies and programmes of Matawalle’s administration through the office of the state First Lady, Hajiya Aisha Matawalle such as N20,000 cash disbursement and Mama Kit Project to empower pregnant women in the state.

“What I saw in the state has countered the negative impression I have been hearing about the state.
“I commended Gov Matawalle for executing Multi-billion naira developmental projects “, he explained.
In his remarks,Gov Bello Matawalle thanked the decision by the national women leader of the party to assist women farmers and traders in the state.
“I commend this initiative, this is aimed at encouraging and supporting our women at grassroots.
“This is an indication that the present leadership of the party under the women wing was keen to the plight of its members”, Matawalle said.
Matawalle assured that Zamfara remained APC state and assured that all party candidates would emerged victorious in the coming 2023 general elections.
