EMIR OF GUSAU COMMENDS ZAMFARA GOV’S WIFE FOR HER CONTRIBUTION TO WOMEN DEVELOPMENT
The Emir of Gusau, Alhaji Ibrahim Bello, has commended Wife of Zamfara State Governor, Hajiya Balkisu Bello Matawalle for her various initiated programmes to build future of women in the state.
Bello made the commendation when a delegation from the governor’s wife paid appreciation visit to him over appointment of Her Excellency, Hajiya Balkisu Matawalle as “JAGABAR MATAN GUSAU” by Gusau Emirate Council.
The traditional ruler stated that the honour was in recognition of the governor’s wife’s contribution towards women development.
The title ”JAGABAR MATAN GUSAU” means a strong and great leader of women, we consider her with this title as a recognition to her performance in building future of women.
The emir said that the governor’s wife had taken practical steps to positively impact on women and the emirate as a whole.

”This title is also in recognition of her good relationship and respect for the traditional institution.
”I urge her to continue with the good works towards promoting social protection for the ordinary people,” he said.
Bello expressed the commitment of the emirate to support the activities of the state government in the interest of sustainable development.
In her speech, the leader of the delegation, Hajiya Jummai Hassan Nasiha commended the emir for his commitment to peace and development in the state.
Nasiha described the title conferred on the governor’s wife as commendable and well-deserved.
”We thank you for appreciating the good works being done by the governor’s wife, by this recognition, you are spurring her to do more,” she said.
