Ex-NAHCON boss, kunle Hassan denies EFCC invitation, vows legal action

In a strong rebuttal, Alhaji Zikrullah Kunle Hassan, the immediate past Chairman of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), has vehemently denied recent allegations of gross abuse of office and interrogation by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

Through his media aide, Shakirudeen Bankole, Alhaji Hassan clarified that he was never invited by the anti-graft agency for questioning regarding corruption or related offenses.

He asserted that during his tenure, EFCC officials scrutinized NAHCON’s books, and the commission’s relevant officials satisfactorily addressed any queries raised.

“On my honor as a Muslim and a decent family man, I make bold to say that not for once did the EFCC operatives on investigation mission at NAHCON consider it necessary to query me,” Alhaji Hassan stated, emphasizing his commitment to professional responsibilities.

Expressing confidence in his untainted record, Alhaji Hassan announced his intention to take legal action against the publishers of the online portal, accusing them of spreading “reckless falsehood bereft of any iota of truth.”

Regarding a recent reception held in his honor by The Companion Muslim group, Alhaji Hassan criticized the news portal for celebrating the absence of certain individuals and officials.

He highlighted that despite being a member of The Companion, he was invited to the reception, which aimed to honor him as their worthy ambassador.
