FG hands over site for construction of Federal Secretariat in Jalingo
The Federal Government on Friday handed over the site for the construction of the Federal Secretariat Complex in Jalingo to UYK Construction Nigeria Ltd.
Alhaji Rabiu Ahmad, Controller Housing, Federal Ministry of Housing and Urban Development, Jalingo, during the handing over said that the federal government had awarded the contract for the construction of a befitting secretariat complex.
Ahmad said that the complex would ease office accommodation for federal agencies resident in the state.
He thanked the Taraba Ggovernment for the provision of a befitting site.
He also expressed optimism that the complex upon completion would add value to the beauty of Jalingo metropolis.

According to him, his dream of having a secretariat complex built in the state is fulfilled.
In his remarks, Usman Aliyu, Technical Manager of the construction company, said that the work would begin within the week.
Aliyu said that the work duration on the site was 18 months.
He expressed satisfaction with the site, assuring that residents of the state should expect a good and befitting edifice.
