GOV. AUF ENROLS 102,400 PROFILED OUT OF SCHOOL CHILDREN FROM 21 LOCAL GOVERNMENT
Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri Wednesday flagged off the enrollment of profiled out of school children from the 21 local governments of Adamawa state in collaboration with better education service delivery for all (BESDA)
The Governor at the launch revealed he will enroll 102,400 out of school children in Mayo-Belwa local Government area.
The Governor stated that in twenty twenty-one, Adamawa State was able to reduce the number of out-of-school children from twelve local government areas by fifty one thousand, two hundred and five through the BESDA Program alone.
He stated that the Government engaged the traditional institution in the crusade because they believe the Royal Fathers have a lot to contribute, not only in the educational sector, but also in agriculture, health, and other areas.
He called on the general public to join his administration in dealing with school disorders.
The lamido of Adamawa who was ably represented by the Galadima compliments Governor Fintiri for changing the narrative of education among others in the state.

In separate remarks the commissioner of education, Wilbina Jackson called the attention of the parents to stop sending their children Hawking and get the enrolled in schools.
The Chairman ADSUBEB Dr Salihu Atiku said with the present administration the risk of children out of school is over.
The state Coordinator BESDA Dr Mohammed Degereji itemized the goals of the program to include reducing menace of the out of School children and improving literacy.
