MATAWALLE INAUGURATES MULTI-MILLION NAIRA PROJECT EXECUTED BY SEN SAHABI YA’U-KAURA
Bello Matawalle of Zamfara has inaugurated multi-million naira projects executed by the federal lawmaker, Sen Sahabi Ya’u-Kaura of Zamfara North Senatorial District.
This was contained in a statement issued on Thursday by the Director General, Public Enlightenment, Media and Communications, Government House, Gusau, Musa Mailafya.
Among major constituency projects executed by Sen Ya’u-Kaura and commissioned by the Gov include various road projects and hospital equipments to 22 Primary Health Care Centers in the district.
Other projects inaugurated were 43 cars donated to the All Progressive Congress (APC) local government chairmen and party stakeholders from Kaura Namoda, Birnin-Magaji Shinkafi and Zurmi LGAs among others.
“Matawalle commended Sen. Sahabi Ya’u-Kaura for standing out tall ahead of any other Sen ever produced by the zone.
“The Gov appreciated the state representatives at the red and green chambers of the National Assembly as well as the State Assembly who are competing in bringing various projects, support and empowerment programs but still Sen. Sahabi Ya’u-Kaura shines brighter.
“Earlier, the Gov inspected ongoing construction site of Sakajiki road and later proceeded to commissioned ‘Yankaba road all executed by the lawmaker in Kaura Namoda Local Government Area”, Mailafiya said.
“The Gov who earlier paid homage at Kaura Namoda emir’s palace rejoiced with people of the emirate for having a committed person like Sen Sahabi Ya’u-Kaura as representative at the Red Chamber of the National Assembly.
“Matawalle also acknowledged the importance of the role played by traditional institutions in the fight against banditry and all forms of criminality.
“He reiterated his administration’s determination to end the menace in the state, stressing that his recent trip to United Arab Emirates and Niger Republic were to woo investors as well as discuss issues that would strengthening security measures especially transnational aspect of the threat”, Mailafiya explained.
In a remark, Sen Ya’u-Kaura said the gesture was part of his constituency projects aimed to extend the devidends of democracy to grassroots.
“There are other roads ongoing construction in Birnin-Magaji and Shinkafi LGA.
“We also constructed town halls, 67 hand pumps and 327 tube wells in the rural communities.
“Part of our project to complement government’s efforts in addressing security challenges in the state, we initiated Rural Grazing Area (RUGA) development project to give our fulani herders opportunity to rear their animals.
“As well are all aware recently, we trained herders, farmers/fulani leaders and other stakeholders in RUGA management”, the lawmaker explained.
