Mind Restructuring: Inherent Danger Of Religious Bigotry And Power Of Spiritual Awakening

Religion is an organized collection of beliefs, cultural values, and world views that relate humanity to an order of existence… many religions have narrative symbols that are intended to drive home the purpose of the practice of such religion and to achieve the goal of salvation for oneself and others, and ultimately render worship to our creator, the omnipotent God.

On the hand, spiritualism is a much more deeper relationship between the inner recess and a direct connection with our creator. It involves the recognition of a feeling or sense or belief that there is something greater than myself, something more to being human than sensory experience, and that the greater whole of which we are part is cosmic or divine in nature… An opening of the heart is an essential aspect of true spirituality.

In our part of the world, Africa, the dominant religions are Christianity and Islam, although there are many other religion. In other words, religion plays an important role in the contemporary African society. Therefore, it has become imperative to mobilize through the platform of grace, in our continuous search for a renewal of our mindsets towards the cognitive development of ‘Mnd Restructuring’ and the behavioral pattern in our system. This is because we have everything to worry about and how to retrace our steps where necessary.

In this respect, we need to come to terms with the fact that our survival as a people depends on the ability to reflect critically on sustainability challenges, value systems and beliefs. It is absolutely necessary for all of us to realize that we must all come to terms with the challenges and prospects of RESTRUCTURING in terms of our mindsets. The approach and mechanism deployed in pursuing the RESTRUCTURING is very vital in achieving the desired objectives and goals. We shall continue to explore the areas of collaboration with opinion moulder, particularly the leaders of faith to dissects the measures pursuant to the actualization of an egalitarian and a more decent society, that functions on technological advancement, solid thinking and healthy relationship with all and sundry.

Flowing from the aforementioned, it should be noted that; the art of communication is the language of LEADERSHIP, as they ‘say’- “if the head is rotten the entire body is equally rotten” the body language, conducts and the type of egregious messages from many of our revered “men of grace” have become worrisome. It has reached a ridiculous extent that some of us can longer keep quiet. …. yours sincerely is a product of grace and a son of a prophet, I have been privileged to relate with great men of God, I was mentored by Bishop David Oyedepo, I have also enjoyed some level relationship with the head of the Anglican church, Archbishop Justin Welby. As such, I have no reason to degenerate any of our leaders of faith. However, it is important for us to know that our society is degenerating more than ever. I dear say that the modern day religions leaders complicit and played some roles in what have become of us as a people. This is a subject many will prefer to avoid, but for how long?

It is certainly not of God to continue to mislead the people, using all manners of catch phrases to hoodwink, bamboozle and take advantage of the gullibility of the people, which in a way, promotes dishonesty, greed, self-centered mentality and Materialistic tendencies. I am fully convinced that the modern day religion played a significant role in what our society is witnessing today. Why not promote the spirit of selflessness, excellence and a productive mindset, instead of Materialistic tendencies.

Once again, I will like to conclude with a biblical note. “If my people who are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and turn away from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”- 2nd Chronicles 7:14. … No matter how long you have traveled in the wrong direction, you can always turn around. DRY BONES SHALL RISE AGAIN.
