My victory on Saturday is not negotiable, Sen. Bwacha

Sylvanus Viashima, Jalingo

The gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress APC in Taraba State for the March 18th governorship election Senator Emmanuel Bwacha has expressed confidence that he will win Saturday’s polls with a landslide victory, despite “persistent attacks and deliberate misinformation from opposition elements in the state”.

Bwacha who gave the assurance on Monday while interacting with the Press said that inspite of deliberate circulation of false information about him and his status as well as all kinds of attacks and tricks from the opposition, the people who would vote on Saturday remain with him since they have seeing through the desperation of the opposition.

The former deputy Minority Leader said he understands that the PDP is a drowning party and is clawing at imaginary straws to stay afloat and so he is focused on mobilizing the electorates rather than joining issues with them.

“I can assure you all that our victory come Saturday is fully assured. We have done our home work very well and are ready to take our rightful place by Saturday.

“The tricks of the drowning PDP are not new to us. By now they should understand that this is an unstoppable project but they just won’t admit defeat. They brought all kinds of legal tussle and we have overcome them all. They started another propaganda that I am not on the INEC portal, that has been put to rest.

“They went as far as creating all kinds of fake groups to endorse them and  say all kinds of things against me just to dissuade the people and pitch them against me. They still fail. The people are smarter and far more enlightened to be hoodwinked by such trivial desperate tricks.

“The latest one is to come up with some meal seekers and disgruntled imposters claiming to be APC Ward officials in Donga and a fake suspension. This too did not hold waters as the authentic officials have already countered them and we can have them arrested for impersonation. But like I said, we are more focused on winning than joining issues with people.

“We have a plan to save the state from total collapse and we are determine to actualize that. How can Taraba, with all the Natural resources and potentials, remain economically not viable and among the poorest states in the country? How can we fold our hands and watch the pillage of our state continue while other lesser states are making progress.

“We have come to make a difference. APC is here to win, to take over Taraba State. That is the wish of the people, to have a breath of fresh air and no one can stop that”.

Bwacha urged the people to stay calm and law-abiding despite unprovoked attacks and to continue the mobilization for massive turn out on Saturday to vote for candidates of the APC across boards.
