Nasarawa Gov. Commissions 14km Road, N2.2bn Bridge In Sokoto

Nasarawa State Governor, Engr. Abdullahi Sule Wednesday commissioned the 14km Garin Magaji to Gittarana rural road and the 2.2bn
Bridge in Silame local government area of Sokoto State.
Noting how important these projects are to the rural populace, governor Abdullahi Sule appealed to other governors in Nigeria to understudy the giant strides of
Sokoto State vovernor, Ahmed Aliyu Sokoto.
This, according to Sule is because of the numerous developmental projects he has seen in the state, adding, Ahmed Aliyu truly came prepared to develop the state.
“Let me tell the people of Sokoto that you are very lucky, very lucky, very lucky to have a man of this mindset to be your governor.
“All the work he has done with humility, with pure hard work, with respect are to the benefit of the people of the state” governor Sule affirmed.
While submitting that Sokoto, like his own state of Nasarawa is an agrarian state and rural infrastructure such as roads and bridges will have direct impact on farmers and rural communities, governor Sule stressed that President Tinubu want them to touch lives positively.
“The President wants us to make sure we make impact, especially at the rural communities. Sokoto, just like Nasarawa, is an agrarian state.
“You have a lot of farmers here. Most of these farmers have difficulties,” he added.
Governor Sule who further admitted that he honoured the invitation because of the mutual respect they have for each other despite an earlier invitation to be in Kaduna for a similar project inspection said he is particularly happy that governor Ahmed Aliyu is making the state and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu proud with his delivery of democratic dividends.

” I thank you for making your own and our brother Governor Aliyu proud and I thank you for making the people of Sokoto proud and I thank you for making our President Bola Ahmed Tinubu proud,”_
Speaking earlier, Sokoto state governor, Ahmed Aliyu said the successful completion of the road and bridge are testament to his administration’s determination to deliver meaningful development projects.
“This road will undoubtedly ease traffic congestion, reduce travel time, enhance safety, and promote commercial activities within the area and beyond.
” It will also contribute significantly to the socio-economic development of the surrounding communities and strengthen connectivity across the state
He commended the Ministry of Works under the Deputy Governor and the contractor, for a job well done.
In his appeal to the benefiting communities to take ownership of the projects and ensures it’s protection, governor Aliyu appreciated them for their patience and support during the construction.
Dignitaries at the event included the Nasarawa State Chairman of APC represented by his deputy, members of the State Working Committee, Secretary to the State Government, Head of Service, Chief of Staff, and the Chairman of Silame Local Government Council including their various counterparts from Sokoto.
