New Yobe CP promises intelligence-driven policing
The newly posted Commissioner of Police (CP) in Yobe, Usman Jibrin, has promised to initiate intelligence-driven policing across the state.
He made the pledge at a news conference in Damaturu on Monday, stressing the need for intensified patrol and enhanced rapid response to criminal activities across the state.
He said the highest standard of professionalism, discipline and respect for human rights must be entrenched in the discharge of duties.
The commissioner also promised enhanced collaboration with sister agencies, working closely with the Nigerian Army, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) and other security agencies under a unified approach to maintain peace and stability.
Jibrin said particular attention would be given to crimes such as youth restiveness, drug abuse, thuggery and other activities capable of threatening peace in communities.
