NYSC Urges Corps Members To Be Resilient In Service

 The Director-General, National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brig.- Gen. Yushau Dogara Ahmed on Tuesday enjoined corps members to be resilient in their service to the nation.

Ahmed stated this at NYSC permanent orientation camp , Wamakko , Sokoto State at closing ceremony of 2023 Batch A stream 2 corps members posted to Sokoto state.

Ahmed who was represented by Mr Usman Yakubu Yaro (YY)  NYSC State Coordinator in Sokoto state urged corps members replicate the discipline imbibed by them during the orientation exercise in their place of primary assignment.

He also informed the corps members that their service year was of great significance to the nation and urged them to advance the cause of unity and development of their fatherland.

He also urged them to sustain the spirit of patriotism, hard work and diligence in the community where they are posted so as to add value to the lives of its members.

Ahmed implored them to respect the customs and cultures of their host communities so as to avoid conflict.

He noted that if they are to be remembered they have to embark on community development service projects that would have direct bearing on people of the communities they are posted to.

He enjoined them to be security conscious stressing unauthorize journey , staying late at night should be avoided .

“On our part we will do everything at our reach to protect you he stated. 

 A total of 1443 corps members comprising 748 males and 695 females  successfully completed the three week camping exercise in Sokoto state.
