PDP Reacts To Inciting Statement By APC Chairman Tambuwal In Sokoto

Alhaji Umaru Sarkin Noma, has appealed for peaceful conduct in the18th March Governorship and State Assembly election. 

Umaru who made the appeal in reaction to a viral video in the social media wherein, the All Progressive Congress (APC) chairman of Tambuwal local government, Alhaji Maitafsiru Tambuwal had urged his supporters to unleash mayhem on anybody considered against their interest on the March 18 election day. 

According to Umaru, inciting supporters or using words capable of staring chaos before, during or after election will do no one any good.

Addressing newsmen at the Sokoto State Secretariat of NUJ, Alhaji Umaru in the company of local government party secretary, Alhaji Ibrahim Altine and Abubakar Aminudeen Ahmed reminded electorate that power comes from God alone.

They, therefore advised that  nobody should commit crime just to please any politician, adding, everybody will account for his deeds either on earth or at the hereafter. 

Recall that, the political atmosphere in Sokoto has-been very tensed lately with the ruling PDP and opposition APC at each other’s throats.

The two dominant parties in the State has been spitting fire and brainstorm. And their supporters have had cause to engage in latent and manifest exchange.
