Police Commends ZMSG For Supporting Officer Shot By Bandits Medically
The Zamfara State Police Command has commended Gov. Bello Matawalle for donating N3 million for medical support to ASP Sani Mamman, who was shot by the bandits inline of duty.
This is contained in a statement issued on Thursday in Gusau by the Police Public Relations Officer of the command, SP Muhammad Shehu.
Shehu said that the Commissioner for Security and Home Affairs, Alhaji Abubakar Dauran, handed over the money to the beneficiary on behalf of the state government at the police headquarters, Gusau.
Dauran said that the present administration was determined and committed to the welfare of security operatives for committing their lives in finding lasting solution to the security challenges in the state.
According to the PPRO, the Commissioner of Police, Abutu Yaro, expressed appreciation to Gov Matawalle for providing medical support to ASP Mamman, who was shot along Bindin-Dangulbi road.

Shehu noted that the victim was shot while on special Anti-Robbery Operations since October, 2016, and since then he has been undergoing medical treatment.
“This uncommon exemplary gesture is highly commendable as it will go a long way in boosting the moral of officers and men in performing their assigned duties with a high degree of enthusiasm and professionalism.
“The police commissioner further assured that officers and men of the command will continue to put in their best to ensure the state remains peaceful.
“This is with a view to reciprocating Gov Matawalle’s humane gesture of support and encouragement to the security operatives in the state.
“The police commissioner also called on the beneficiary to use the money judiciously by ensuring that he treats himself at the accredited hospital”, PPRO explained
