POLICE NAB 4 SUSPECTED CATTLE RUSTLERS, ARMED ROBBERS  AND A CAR SMUGGLER IN ADAMAWA

The Adamawa State Command of the Police has assured the people of the State that it will continue in the sustained efforts in getting rid of all criminal elements in the state and to improve public safety ahead of the 2023 general elections

The Command gave the assurance while parading four suspected cattle rustlers,  armed robbers and others involved in transborder smuggling of cars into the country
at the Command’s headquarters in Yola the Adamawa state capital.

According to the Police Public Relations Officer of the Command, the recent efforts in combating crime and criminality is in line with the IGP’s initiative of a proactive Nigerian Police Force for a safer society.

He said :”The command operatives attached to State Criminal Investigation Department as recorded during the week under review disconnected a network of an organized crime, apprehended fourteen Suspects including a female and recovered one vehicle,six set of computers, some hard drugs”.

The Adamawa state Command of the Police is making sure that there is no hiding place for criminals in the state because it will not be business as usual for them.

In the past few weeks, the Command is doing all it can to narrow the space for the criminals resulting in the arrest of many. About a week ago 33 suspects were arrested and paraded at the Police headquarters in Yola.

Today is another parade of 14 suspects arrested in connection with various crimes such as armed robbery, transborder smuggling and cattle rustlers that have terrorised the Numan area in the recent past.

One of the suspected cattle rustlers admitted that they rustled 34 cows from the Numan local Government axis before their arrest by the police. 

According to the Head of the CID, Deputy Commissioner of Police Vungmon Kwaimo:

 “You can see that society is dynamic and we have to move in concomitance with new developments with the societies.The present CP has brought in numerous innovations aimed at Strengthening the force and ensuring that the people of Adamawa state sleep with their two eyes closed”

Speaking to Journalists on the recent  arrests, the Police Public Relations  Officer Adamawa Command DSP  Suleiman Nguroje says the state  Commissioner of Police has    commended the officers and men of  the Command for collaborating with  the public for the successes so far  recorded in the State.

After full investigation, the suspects  will be charged to Court for the law to  take its course.
