POLICE RESCUE EIGHT ABDUCTED VICTIMS IN ZAMFARA
The Zamfara police command has unconditionally rescued eight kidnaped victims from bandits in Bungudu local governments area of the state.
This is contained in a statement signed and issued in Gusau on Tuesday by the Police Public Relations Officer in the state SP Muhammad Shehu.
“The Zamfara police command in its determination and total commitments to protect lives and properties of the citizens, secured the unconditional release of 8 abducted victims, who were abducted on 25th August 2021 at Kangon Sabuwa in Bungudu LGA.
“The victims who were abducted and taken to Kungurmi bandits camp were rescued safely by the police without any financial or material gain.

“The abducted victims were medically checked by the medical officials, debriefed by the police and reunited with their families”, Shehu said.
The state commissioner of police, Mr Ayuba Elkana assured the people of the state that of command’s collaboration with other security agencies intensifying different search and rescue strategies that will lead to the unconditional rescue of other kidnapped victims in bandits’ captivity.
Elkana called on members of the public to improve their cooperation and collaboration with the police and other security agencies in an effort to restore lasting peace and security in the state.
