PROGRESSIVE GOVERNORS’ FORUM COMMISSION 18 LODGES FOR STATES IN ZAMFARA
A delegation of All Progressive Governors’ Forum APC, led by its chairman, Senator Atiku Bagudu, today Monday, April 5th, 2021, commissioned 18 modern Guest lodges located in the Government House, Gusau.
The lodges were constructed by the present administration in the state under Governor Bello Mohammed Matawalle to accommodate Government officials and other important personalities including Governors from the 19 northern states in particular and others across the country in general, whenever they visit the state.
Each of the 18 lodges were named after their respective states.
Commissioning the lodges,
the chairman of the Progressives Governors’ Forum and Governor of Kebbi State, Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, Governor of Yobe state and Chairman of the APC Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee, Alhaji Mai Mala Buni and Governor of Jigawa State Alhaji Muhammadu Badaru Abubakar, Commended Governor Bello Mohammed Matawallen Maradun for the giant efforts in changing the face of development in the state.

The Progressives Governors added that the edifice initiated and constructed by Governor Bello Matawalle within the Government House have beautified the seat of the state Government and at the same time, will adequately accommodate all categories of personalities and Guests at once.
They described Governor Matawalle as a bridge builder, peace maker and dynamic leader who built enduring and befitting infrastructure, as well as provided security to the state within the shortest possible time.
Earlier, Governor Bello Mohammed Matawallen Maradun said his decision to construct the Houses is to provide abundant and special accommodation of international standard to government officials, eminent personalities visiting the state for official engagements.
Governor Bello Matawalle said the official accommodation is meant to provide maximum comfort and security to the visitors.
He added that the construction of the new Houses would help greatly in reducing the expenses being incured by the state government in accommodating such visitors in Hotels and rented houses.
The Shettiman Sokoto said the Houses are part of the many infrastructural development provided by his administration in order to take the state to the next level of development.
The visiting Progressives Governors were overwhelmed by the giant strides embarked upon by the administration of Governor Bello Matawalle in transforming the state in to an enviable position and in restoring peace and tranquility within one and a half years of his leadership.
